Hi everyone, I have one user with an export excel budget issue using Dynamics GP 2018.

When the user export a Budget the machine froze in the Open dialog for saving the file. I must log off the user from Terminal Server. however, I do the same scenario and in my machine function correctly.

I go to Cards - Financials - Budget click new using budget wizard for excel, put the information and the accounts that I want. In the Budget Calculation Method click Blank Budget.

I chose the open year and Account Type P$L and then click next, I select multiples accounts using segment account for example.

    Entity 08
    Region 01
    Department 800
    Account 70456

Click next to verify the account and select A new workbook to complete the process the windows for save the file froze and the system froze.

Someone can help me if you can.

    Thank you

    Hi @Angel Cintron

This sounds more like an infrastructure issue than a GP issue.

    Can you let us know....
    1)  Are you using a 'deployed' application instead of a local application.
    2) Are you IN your network environment
    3) Anything at all 'odd' or different between the domain GP is on and the domain you are trying to save to?
    4) Any permissions issues with saving to he default locations in your computers windows setup?

    Hi @Angel Cintron

@Zubin Gidwani asked that I write to you with a proposed solution.

It's likely not frozen, but the Save As window probably opened behind the GP window.

    Right click on the Taskbar,
    click Show The Desktop,
then click on the GP icon in task bar,
When GP maximizes, the Save As Pop-up Window will now come to the foreground.

once you save GP will be responsive again...

    Hi Angel,
A couple of things I'd check.. Your users are logging into a Terminal Server, do they have by any chances OneDrive folder sync setup ? If those users are O365 accounts and authenticate by using AD, I've seen cases where users would save their files on they 'local' OneDrive sync folder, and when remoting into a TS and do the same from within GP, the GP client would just freeze while it is trying to access the 'loca' OneDrive folder on the TS server, possibly due to some authentication mechanic that is not able to complete, due to the GP interaction.
I had to tell the users to kill their RDP session and map some local drives by default (not linked to OneDrive) when remote login into the TS, so GP would be able to access their computer's local drives from the TS server.. In Windows Remote Connection session there is an option to map local drives by default when connecting.. try that option.
