Tracking NonTaxable Sales

A client needs to track the Total Sales for tax details even if there is no tax calculated. For example, if a non-taxable item is sold, they want to be able to track that there were sales against the tax detail.

I'm almost thinking that the way to do it is set up additional tax detail records with 0 for the rate.

For example, if TX is the tax detail that is taxable, then set up TX-NT with a 0 rate.

This is what I've come up with but am interested to know if anybody has dealt with this.

    Thank you

That's how we've done it.  We use the same technique for tracking Use Tax.
