2020 W4 Options Potentially Missing in Dynamics GP 2015

    Good Day All,

Our company is running our first 2020 payroll with a check date of this Friday (1/3/2020).

I noted that we have a few contractors that are preemptively submitting the 2020 W4 form. It appears that we may be missing some options based on screens that were provided as examples prior to the release.

Specifically, I do not see the Married Filing Jointly in our federal filing status.

I noted in the blog posted by Terry Healy at (Microsoft Dynamics GP Year-End Update 2019: New 2020 Payroll W-4 how does it work in Microsoft Dynamics GP?) that this was to be an option. I am just seeing some discrepancies and wanted to ensure I am not missing anything or that something was incorrectly applied. Please see the screenshot from the blog post below:

For clarity, we have already run our year End Update and have ensured the final 2020 tax tables are in fact installed. We ran check runs in our dev system and were able to successfully process a 2020 check with the appropriate rates. Please see our build info below.

Please let me know if I have omitted any information and thank you ahead of time for your assistance.

I hope you're all having a quiet year end.

It looks like you have everything you should.   It looks like the final release has Married and Married Higher WH.    The Married Higher WH = Married filing jointly Higher in Terry's blog.

    Hi @Matthew Campana

I see what you are saying, the second screenshot of options is from Terry's blog.

It does seem that you are on the current version of GP2015 with the new tax update.  I would 100% advise you to contact your Partner or use Customersource to submit a support ticket for this one.

This is the first post I've seen saying the field is missing, but I do not have a client on GP2015 that uses Payroll so I cannot confirm this is happening universally.

Best of luck, and I'll keep an eye out.
