Workflow step missing

    I had a fully functional workflow for requisitions which required manager approval and then AP approval. Today I was told the AP staff were note getting the contacts about open requisitions. I looked and the step was completely gone. How can I research what took place to cause this? We are new to GP.

    Hi Dave,

    Are you saying that the manager step is still there, but the AP Approval step is missing?  That doesn't seem possible to me.  Once you activate a workflow, you can not remove or add steps to the workflow!

    It would be nearly impossible for someone to remove steps without copying to a new workflow and activating it.  The old workflow would still be visible as you can NOT delete the old workflow if there were any active transactions.

    Can you please share screen shots of your workflow config?

    Also, note: only people defined as the workflow manager are authorized to make changes.

    Thanks for the reply. We found other things missing as well and I believe it is all tied to a DB copy of live to test by our vendor. :( While that shouldn't have caused issues, we also found EFT data on some vendors was missing. I have recreated the workflow and banned our vendor from making copies. Hopefully this is a one time fluke. We are new to GP. I was really hoping there was some kind of tracking mechanism to show what was removed and by whom.
