Does anyone know if there is any way to restrict access in the SOP Entry window to only specific sites per user?
I found a similar question back in 2015, but I didn't know if something has been added since then that would accomplish that.

    Here is an example:

I want the clerk at site 300 to only be able to enter and update sales orders for site 300.

Today, the clerk has to select the site and can select the wrong site by accident.

Unless something has changed GP does not allow for site security.  We had 30 different sites years ago and had the same issue.
We purchased a third party product called Binary Stream and this product basically allows for site security.  It can be used for much more
but that's what we specifically used it for.  Worked very well.

That sounds like it can be easily accomplished by modifying the window and adding a little code.  If you don't have any developer on staff, your partner should be able to handle this easily.

Also, the code would be very simple if you put your users in classes.  If the user in class X they can use site Y.

    I hope this helps.

This customisation could be very easily written using GP Power Tools - Developer Tools module.

Writing the code using GP Power Tools has many, many benefits over using VBA. It is easier to maintain, and works on web client to name a couple.

See the following article for more reasons to replace VBA with GPPT.

You can install GP Power Tools and activate a free 30 day trial period to test it out. If you need help to write the code, please let me know.
