Hello everyone! I apologize if this seems to be a rudimentary question but I am a new GP admin and running into quite a few issues! I need to find instructions on giving a user permissions to a Smartlist. I have found a few articles but it looks like they are for the intiial smartlist configuration in GP as it points to creating a new permissions for Smartlists? I would think I could find the Smartlist in GP and then assign access?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    FYI, per my confusion above...redbeardblogging.blogspot.com/2014/10/smartlist-security-setup.html

The instructions at link above seem to point out to creating a default smartlist permission? Our install is about 2 years in so I would assume that has already been done but I do not find the task.

    THanks!

    Hi Jason,

I created a security role just for smartlist for users because we have both smartlistbuilder and smartlistdesigner installed and I didn't want some users to have access to those.

If Smarlist permission is already set up, you need to select the user and assign the permission under User Security Setup. Select the User and assign the smartlist permission.
