Have you considered joining the Chapter Leadership team?

    Hello Milwaukee Chapter Members!

As many of you may know, Michelle Kocher, will be stepping down from her Chapter Leadership role for the Milwaukee Chapter.  Michelle, served our GPUG community in several ways and will continue to be involved whenever possible. She and the Leadership team have done an excellent job helping grow this group and plan quarterly meetings so everyone can benefit and gain GP knowledge.  We will definitely miss having her as one of our Chapter Leaders, and wish her all the best!!!  We will still see Michelle in our community, and she will attend meetings whenever her schedule allows!  Thank you Michelle, for your many many many GPUG contributions over the years.

With Michelle no longer leading our Chapter, and Steve Erbach actively growing the Green Bay GP group, we are in need of some new volunteers to become more involved and help keep our Milwaukee Chapter momentum going strong!  Please reach out to Steve and/or myself if you are interested, and we are happy to give you more details into what this volunteer position entails.  We's not scary, and will also help you become better connected with your Chapter community and GPUG as a whole.

We look forward to hearing from you!

    Dear Milwaukee Community Members,

Molly's right: being a Chapter leader isn't scary, nor is it a burden. GPUG provides oodles of material for Chapter meetings as well as providing food and drink. You don't have to worry about dues, hall rental, catering... none of that.

Very soon, from what I understand, the new Milwaukee Microsoft office will be ready and we should be able to have most of our Chapter meetings there. It is fun, however, to hold them at Member sites. We've had great meetings at Batteries Plus in Hartland, for example. Then there was the howling wind at the Milwaukee Area Chamber of Commerce in March!

I'd very much like to discuss Milwaukee Chapter leadership roles after our May 18th meeting at SPI Lighting in Mequon. Anyone who's been a regular at the Milwaukee Chapter meetings already knows how they work! You're halfway to being a Chapter leader! I'll have an outline of what needs to be done for meetings and how the leadership team can share the load and spread the GP word!

Seriously, it isn't just one person. The more people involved, the better. For example, we couldn't have started up the new Chapter in Green Bay without a team of five people -- Tammy Corso, Pam Hall, Donna Beaumier, Sid Davis, and me --- each one making contributions to the success and smooth running of our meetings.

And it's fun! Nothing like getting together with your GP peers to help them (and you!) learn better ways of doing things in GP. I'll see you in Mequon on the 18th, future Chapter leader!
