We currently do not have the HR module but are looking into the possibility of adding it.  Does anyone have any positive and/or negative feedback on the HR module in GP?

    Hi Kristy!

I can give you some feedback from a Consultant's point of view.

I have been helping GP customers learn and utilize the HR module successfully, for many years.  It has a lot of functionality by itself, but, it can be made as powerful as needed with good consulting and add-on products from our great ISV's! For instance, the one add-on that I always recommend is, Smartlist Builder/Excel Report Builder from eOne Solutions. I know that great Reporting is "key" for the HR team! There are many other wonderful add-on's to Automate Applicant Tracking, OnBoarding, Training Tracking/Learning Management, Performance Management, etc. etc.!

I have also found that those who have spent the time and money for good HR training and consulting, have been more successful and happy with the system than those who have tried to implement it by themselves.  Those of us who specialize in GP HRP, know the tricks to make it work for your organization's needs. We know the good things and the "not so good" things, and creative ways to make it work.  If you want to do some self-learning, there are many free recordings and information in the GPUG Library,  and on YouTube.

I hope this helps from a consultant's perspective. I hope you get some customers to respond, as well!
