"Get out of the office and see what your peers are doing to improve their GP solution." - Danny Clemenson, Business Analyst, Progressive Components
If you are a top-level or mid-level manager, GPUG Amplify, March 20-21 in Chicago, IL, is the conference for you to gather with fellow business leaders and Microsoft leaders to network and exchange knowledge on how to best maximize Microsoft Dynamics® GP performance to achieve business success.
GPUG visited with Danny Clemenson
, Business Analyst at Progressive Components, to learn more about what the Dynamics GP community can expect at GPUG Amplify. Danny has over 25 years of experience with GP - everything from Great Plains on the Macintosh as a developer of shipping manifest systems to current 2016r2 using the OData connections to update Solver Cloud Data Warehouse. What made you decide to attend GPUG Amplify in 2017?
My boss made me do it! We definitely make sure we get out of the office to share information with others in the GPUG community and find out what other users are doing.
What value did you find for your job role by attending GPUG Amplify?
As a Business Analyst, my job is to find solutions that work and find users that are successfully using them. I also want to be able to pay forward to other users again as this helps not only me but the GP application itself.
What value did you find for you company by attending GPUG Amplify?
As always we are working on relationships with our third party providers, along with our VARs, to ensure they know who we are. We are interested in their success because if they are successful we will have better solutions from them in the future.
What was your biggest take-away from GPUG Amplify?
Peace of mind that we are heading in the right direction and we were able to share our success stories. Also our team members were able to take time away from their busy day-to-day to talk about real needs.
What makes GPUG Amplify unique when compared to other Dynamics GP conferences, such as GPUG Summit?
We are able to concentrate just on the GP application rather than all our other solutions, such as SharePoint, CRM, Office 365, and Power BI.
What audience or job roles is GPUG Amplify best suited for and why?
Anyone who is using GP as their core application on a day-to-day basis.
