Collaborate_Canada.pngDid you recently attend Summit Nashville and miss being surrounded by peers, eager to learn like you? Or were you unable to attend Summit this year? Either way, you're in luck! Upcoming Collaborate Canada events will provide a mini Summit–like experience. These one-day events will be the best investment of your time and resources to ensure you go into 2018 fueled with the knowledge to take your business far. Collaborate Canada will provide opportunities to see your product evolve with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, Power Apps & Flow, network with the best and the brightest people in the Microsoft Dynamics community, and ask Microsoft Dynamics MVPs and Product Experts about your burning technical issues.

One such Product Expert at Collaborate Canada is Jen Kuntz, owner of Kuntz Consulting Inc. Jen is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA), and Microsoft MVP in Business Solutions. She is an independent Dynamics GP consultant and her firm, Kuntz Consulting Inc., is a Microsoft Dynamics GP consulting partner. Jen has been working with Dynamics GP since version 5.0 in 1999 as a customer, and since 2001 as a consultant. Prior to starting her own consulting business, she worked for Deloitte and BDO Solutions in their Dynamics GP consulting practices. Her experience with Dynamics GP covers all areas of a typical project lifecycle, in both functional and technical areas.
Dynamic Communities sat down with Jen for the inside scoop on her sessions at Collaborate Canada, spanning across all four events:
  • Time to Upgrade? Planning & Testing Tips
  • Free Add-ons & Resources for Dynamics GP
Please share a “golden nugget” attendees will take away from your sessions that isn’t found in the session description online.
In my upgrade session, a lot of my focus is on understanding your GP environment and why it’s important, as you do test planning. In the Free Add-ons session, there’s too many to name!

What job roles will benefit from your sessions?
Upgrade – IT staff & those involved with managing or planning the upgrade for their organization.
Free Add-ons – anyone in the organization as there may be things all types of roles will find interesting that they could use!

Aside from speaking, what you are most looking forward to about being part of Collaborate Canada?
I’m actually looking forward mostly to seeing parts of the country I haven’t seen in a long time! I did some work in Montreal 10-12 years ago and haven’t been back there since and haven’t been to Calgary or Vancouver since I was a teenager!

What’s on your personal event agenda? Share any sessions you don’t want to miss!
I’m always looking forward to the Microsoft presentation. These dates are less than a month before GP 2018 will be launched so we’ll be seeing lots of new stuff!

What is your best advice for Dynamics users attending Collaborate Canada?
Take notes, ask questions, and take advantage of having Microsoft folks right there as well as MVPs who can help answer your questions!

What are you most looking forward to about visiting Toronto, Montreal, Calgary & Vancouver?
In Montreal, my most favourite sushi place is there and if I’m lucky I might be able to have dinner there before I fly back home that night.
In Toronto, looking forward to dinner with (hopefully) Rod O’Connor, Kelly Kane, Bob McAdam, Pam Misialek and whoever else Rod’s coordinated with!
I have some in-laws in both Calgary & Vancouver so I’m hoping to catch up with them for a meal or two, maybe connect with some fellow Canadian Microsoft MVPs and just be a tourist on the in-between days!

Anything else you’d like to say about the event to potential attendees?
It’s a jam-packed day that will be a lot of info and a lot of fun. With all product groups represented, it’ll be a happening event, in all of the cities!

Powered by your Dynamic Communities Canadian User Groups, Collaborate Canada will provide unprecedented access to premium Microsoft Dynamics content designed by product experts. This jam-packed day will cover technical content designed for a myriad of roles. Fuel your knowledge by attending this training, expand your network of connections, and discover the possibilities of your Dynamics solution.
