GPUG wishes to thank Major General Luis R Visot for delighting us with his Summit keynote address. It is important to know that, he is very grateful for the opportunity to share his thoughts and ideas about leadership in the military and how it translates to our purposeful life. Only after significant digging, and finally getting an opportunity to contact his wife, were we able to find an appropriate idea for how to thank this selfless man.
General Visot, having himself served in several theaters of war, is a huge proponent of the United States’ Military Wounded Warrior Program and any cause that supports the families of fallen comrades. We’ve found a scholarship that Luis helped set up in the name of Captain Jason Ellis Holbrook who lost his life in Afghanistan on July 29, 2010.
The late Captain Holbrook had ties to the University of South Florida where Major General Visot (Luis) serves as Executive Director of the Join Military Leadership Center. Gifts to the Captain Jason Ellis Holbrook Memorial Leadership Award will go toward supporting the educational growth of future officers in the US Military and leaders of our society. AXUG is proud to contribute, in the name of Major General Luis R Visot, $1,000 to the Holbrook Memorial Award.
