Microsoft Dynamics User Groups Launch Training Academy
Academy to offer quality, low-cost training options

July 19, 2010 (Tampa, Fla.) – Dynamic Communities announced last week the availability of four (4) new training and learning options: AXUG Academy, CRMUG Academy, GPUG Academy, and NAVUG Academy. The Academy offers a variety of professional, cost-effective learning opportunities to aid Microsoft Dynamics Customers and Partners in increasing their business effectiveness.

The Academy courses are being offered in three (3) different formats including:

  1. Distance Learning – allows for students to learn from recognized experts while sitting at their desks. Students are able to practice the content and apply the curriculum immediately, instead of just watching.  Classes are typically conducted as a half-day course, or two half-day courses with a combination of a conference call/VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol), and a remote desktop connection. Most distance learning courses cover topics which directly relate to Microsoft Dynamics modules or add-ons. A main benefit for Distance Learning is to learn from expert instructors while saving the individual and company time and travel expenses.
  2. Computer Based Training (CBT) – provides students the ability to select from over 2,400 titles of self-paced training on topics ranging from Human Resources and Business Leadership, to Desktop Software and Microsoft Certification classes. Premium Membership in the User Group includes a specific number of licenses which allow for unlimited access to approximately 700 of the 2,400 titles. Premium User Group Members are also offered a discount on the remaining titles as a benefit to their membership.
  3. Onsite – are offered as half and full-day classes on a variety of functional and technical topics relating to Microsoft Dynamics solutions. Each class is instructor led by an industry expert of the topic being presented. Onsite classes are held in conjunction with the User Group Annual Conference held each fall.

“We are excited to be able to offer our User Group members even more benefits as part of their membership. The pilot courses we held were sold out. This tells us the Academy is providing huge amounts of value, at a very low price and something that our members have been desperately looking for,” said Mark Rhodes, Academy Director. “Our members were looking for more choices of quality training that fit their shrinking budgets and lack of time. Because of the economies of scale with the User Groups, we saw it as a unique opportunity to add training to our list of Member benefits and at a lower cost and more flexible delivery formats than most other options.”
