Leadership Committees

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Membership Committee shall be chaired by a Board Member - Membership and consist of at least two other members of GPUG and designated staff. The Committee shall have the responsibility to recruit and identify prospective members. Applications for GPUG membership and partnership will be reviewed and approved by the Membership Committee acting on authority by the Board of Advisors.
 
PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE(S)
The Program Committee(s) shall be chaired by a Board Member - Programs and consist of such members as the Vice Chairperson may appoint plus designated staff. The Program Committee(s) shall have the responsibility for advance planning of GPUG programs, events, and meetings to include arrangements for facilities, quality speakers, and programs.
 
EVENTS COMMITTEE
The Events Committee shall be chaired by a Board member and consist of members plus designated staff. The Events Committee shall have the responsibility for advance planning of GPUG Summit and GPUG’s presence at Convergence.  Other events may be introduced in the future.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE
Any member of GPUG may chair and /or serve on this committee. The Education Committee Chair will be appointed by the Board of Advisors Chairperson and will be responsible for the relationship and activities of GPUG with the education community and shall perform all duties that may be assigned by the Board of Advisors. (See GPUG Training and Certification Program details) In furtherance but not in limitation of the office, the Education Committee's primary duties shall be to:
1. Plan and operate conference(s) or seminar(s), open to all interested people whether GPUG members or not, on Microsoft Dynamics GP Issues. Leading practitioners, consultants, and academics will be invited to present their views on current important information management issues.
2. Recognize GPUG members who demonstrate a leading practice or functional enhancement in the use of Dynamics GP with an award or certificate of achievement to our organization.

MARKETING COMMITTEE
Any member of GPUG may chair and /or serve on this committee. The Marketing Committee Chair will be appointed by the Board of Advisors Chairperson and will be responsible for the relationship and activities of GPUG and shall perform all duties that may be assigned by the Board of Advisors. The Marketing Committee will be responsible for the image and presentation of GPUG to the public and organizations and individuals not associated with GPUG. In furtherance, but not in limitation of the office, the Marketing Committee's primary duties shall be to:
1. Develop the yearly marketing plan.
2. Publicize GPUG activities.
3. Manage relations with the Press and Microsoft.
4. Develop GPUG brochures and other publicity pieces, and distribute them appropriately.

REGIONAL CHAPTER LEADERS CONSORTIUM
Any member of GPUG may chair and /or serve on this committee.  The Consortium is made up of all Leaders of recognized GPUG Regional Chapters. The Regional Chapter Leaders Consortium Chair will be appointed by the Board of Advisors Chairperson and will be responsible for the relationship and activities of GPUG relating to the formation and operation of regional chapters. In furtherance, but not in limitation of the office, the Regional Chapter Leaders Consortium primary duties shall be to:
1. Create and share “best practices” for the most effective Regional Chapters and associated activities.
2. Maintain the Charter template, formation process, and Regional Chapter Policies for the formation of new Chapters.
3. Track the operations of all Regional Chapters.
4. Assist new Chapter Candidates through the process of becoming an official Regional Chapter.
5. Periodically review the operations of Regional Chapters to insure they are adhering to GPUG Policies.
 
BYLAW COMMITTEE
Any member of GPUG may chair and /or serve on this committee. The Bylaw Committee Chair will be appointed by the Board of Advisors Chairperson and will be responsible for the relationship and activities of GPUG relating to maintenance and safekeeping of the Bylaws of the group. In furtherance, but not in limitation of the office, the Bylaw Committee's primary duties shall be to:
1. Maintain the Bylaws for the group.
2. Perform a yearly review of the Bylaws and report to the Board of Advisors any recommended changes to the Bylaws or the processes of the group.
 
NOMINATING COMMITTEE
At the end of each year, the Chairperson shall request that the Board of Advisors develop a Slate of Candidates for the next program year with said Slate of Candidates to be presented to the Board of Advisors for approval at the Annual meeting. The committee will validate the election of Advisors and publicize the results to the general body.
 
OTHER COMMITTEES
The Board of Advisors may elect to create other committees for the purpose of supporting the objectives of the group. A new committee chair will be appointed by the Board of Advisors Chairperson and will be responsible for the activities of that group including reporting to the Board of Advisors on a regular basis the status of their charge.
