GPUG Summit Encore - Best Practices with 1099s (Jan 10 2012)
Learn how to minimize the risk of receiving B-notices and fines from the IRS by incorporating the IRS TIN Matching Program tools in your vendor maintenance procedures. We will provide a sample SQL query to pull transaction details to build your 1099 data extracts if you didn’t close your AP module on 12/31. And then we will review four approaches to Printing, Mailing, Correcting, eFiling, and enabling web presentment of your 1099s.
This is an OPEN event, all members welcome.
- Dynamic GP's native 1099 generation process – printing and modifying the default formats to fit pre-printed form stock
- Greenshades - an integrated GP solution for Printing on plain paper or plain perforated stock, Mail, eFIle, and web presentment
- The Validator1099 – an integrated solution that validates your AP Vendor details against the IRS TIN
Match eService so your 1099’s can be processed error free.
- 1099Pro – a non-integrated solution for Printing on plain paper or plain perforated stock, Mail, eFIle, and web presentment Time permitting we will open the discussion to troubleshooting any challenges you may be facing.
If you are not familiar with the IRS TIN Matching Program we encourage you to research and enroll in the program in advance of this session: (http://www.irs.gov/govt/tribes/article/0,,id=131207,00.html).
